As temperatures start to plunge, the forgotten members of our community will be feeling the harsh bitterness of winter. 

Exposed to the elements with just the bare necessities needed to survive on the street, the homeless community in Slough are in urgent need of winter clothing and other essentials.

Al Miftah is once again working with SHOC (Slough Homeless Our Concern) to collect donations for much-needed winter supplies.

We need your help to sponsor essential winter packs for our forgotten neighbours.

They are in desperate need of the following:

• ​sleeping bags

• tents

• rucksacks

• hats

• gloves

• jeans

• jumpers

• socks

We will be purchasing these from wholesale suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency and benefit for those that need it the most.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity" (Al-Tirmidhi). 

By sacrificing part of one's wealth and giving it to those in need, you'll be protecting yourself from tragedy and misfortune.
