For many developing countries, poor health goes hand in hand with malnutrition and unsafe water. Whilst Al Miftah aims to alleviate the root causes of ill health before it takes hold of a community, when people do fall ill, the biggest hurdle to then overcome is access to quality healthcare.
Al Miftah focuses on increasing accessibility to basic medicines, supplies, and interventions to prevent and treat illnesses at the community level.
Illness & Disease Is Rife
With constant exposure to the elements and no protection from the freezing temperatures, torrential rains and howling winds, children in particular are more susceptible to life-threatening fevers and illnesses.
Access To Healthcare Is A Right, Not A Privilege
The sad truth is that many of the deaths caused by ill health are easily preventable and treatable through simple, effective measures and access to basic healthcare. With so many medical advances, there is no reason why so much of the global population should be left without access to healthcare.
