Eid in Slough 2021
Fitrana (Sadaqah al- Fitr or Zakat al-Fitr) is a charitable donation of food or its equivalent monetary value that must be given before the end of Ramadan. All self-supporting adult Muslims who have the value of food (or non-essential items) in excess of their need must give fitrana on behalf of themselves and their dependants.
Eid in Slough:
This was our first year we were able to gift Eid gifts to over 50 children in Slough. Iqra, one of the leading schools supporting the local community supported our efforts for Eid-ul -Fitr and generously donated gifts for many children.
While our dedicated and selfless volunteers who pack and deliver the food parcels brought gifts to give these children on Eid ul-Adha.
We were able to put a smile on the faces of many children and their parents.
